  • First-chaired a jury trial in Cook County that settled in our client's favor after opening statements.

  • Settled a federal lawsuit in Philadelphia against our client, a national health system, for a fraction of the relief sought by the plaintiff, an IT services provider.

  • Argued, and won, multiple motions in Orange County (California) Superior Court on behalf of a hospital and its commercial real estate division.

  • Represented numerous other clients, including commercial property owners' associations, moving and storage companies, construction companies, and real estate developers, in various state court matters throughout Illinois.

  • Conducted and defended multiple depositions for a wide range of clients and matters.

Financial Services and Creditor's Rights

  • Represented various commercial lenders with regard to their special assets and problem loans.

  • Guided multiple commercial real estate matters through the foreclosure process from filing to judgment and approval of sale.

  • Negotiated deed-in-lieu agreements and short sales on behalf of lender clients, and possession issues for landlord clients.

  • Initiated and pursued many post-judgment citation proceedings, including oral examinations of judgment debtors and auditing financial records and related information.

  • Prepared “Relief From Stay” motions in various bankruptcy proceedings and examined multiple debtors at a number of 341(a) meetings.
